A swirling micro-meso combustion chamber is a chamber in which the position of the inlet ducts (fuel and oxidizer) imposes a swirling motion inside the chamber itself. This increases the residence time, enhances mixing and then improves the combustion stability and efficiency.

Such device, order of 10^-2 – 10^-3 [m], may be fed indifferently with hydrocarbons and/or hydrogen, up to 1000[W] of injected thermal power and may provide thrust or electrical energy if connected with a micronozzle or a microturbine.
